[Three days before Michiru's birthday.]
'' Haruka papa!'' Kawaii Little Hotaru said cheerfully. '' Good morning!
Hey just I...I...have left something in your room yesterday. Can I go into
your room and get it back?''
''Well, what have you left there, little one? ''Haruka said gently.''
I can get it for you.''
''...It's a...a...notebook...Yeah, Notebook! ''Hotaru said innocently
and force a sweet smile. ''I can take it back myself 'cause I don't really
want to trouble you papa.'' Then she proceeded to go upstairs.
''Oh really?! I am very glad that you are quite an honest child for
I can see that you can't tell lies very well'' Haruka said in a teasing
tone, '' little one, you want to find out what I've brought for Michiru's
birthday, huh? Sure you won't succeed!'' then she caught little Hotaru
'lightly' and made her sit on her lap and tickled her playfully. ''STOP…plea…please
stop that Ha…Haruka papa!'' Hotaru could just splutter some words while
giggling.
''So you admit that you are guilty, don't you? Haruka said wickedly.

''Ok! I make the confession, please stop the torture!!!!!'' Hotaru
said in a dejected voice.
''Come on Haruka, the child is just curious! You are not always so serious
indeed so why are you now? '' Setsuna showed up and said. '' Moreover,
Michiru's still in her bedroom so she won't hear you .Why not tell this
child then? And most importantly…I wish to know the secret too. ^_~''
Haruka ''I am always serious, you know!''
'' I know no serious fellow who would tickle the others like that.''
Setsuna said sarcastically, '' Today I will be the one who prepare lunch,
Remember? And I've planned to make salad, but now I am afraid I won't.''
''…Ok! OK! I yield! But promise yourselves you won't tell Michiru.''
Haruka said tiredly.
''OK!!!!!!!!!'' Setsuna + Hotaru (Anxiously).

''Good morning everyone! Sorry for interrupting,'' Michiru cut Haruka
short while going downstairs elegantly. ''But could you tell me what are
you discussing just now?''
''N-O-T-H-I-N-G!!'' Setsuna + Hotaru (Angrily ^&^)
''Nothing truly'' Haruka said sweetly, '' anyway, thanks for helping
me escape from these troublesome ladies." ''… What? …'' ''Oh Nothing.''
''Really?'' Michiru said suspiciously. ''Yeah, of course.'' ''Okay then,
Well I need to go to the bookstore and buy something, Bye!'' Michiru said.

Haruka sat on the sofa and began reminiscing:
Haruka had been wandering around the street for 4 or 5 hours, still
having no ideas what she should buy for Michiru. She stopped before an
antique shop, ''maybe I would find something pleasant here eventually.
She stepped in.
''Can I help you?'' A young lady asked, pleased with Haruka's good-look.
'' Yeah, I wish to purchase something for my friend.'' Haruka said.
''Sure. Do you have anything in mind 'sir'?
''Hmm, do you have anything which is aqua in colour?'' Haruka said
quietly for she was used to people calling her that.
'' Ah…we have, would you please wait for a minute and I'll get that
for you.'' Then the lady headed towards a little room and went out with
a beautiful watch in her hands. ''What do you think about this sir? See
the ribbon here? If you want to give it to your friend as a present, just
ask her to pull it herself and the handles will work!''
Haruka looked at the watch carefully. It was really an elaborated one
with two handles shaped like dolphins and the whole watch is like something
that is belonged to the ocean. It gave you a serene and silent feeling.
''Fine, I will take that. How much is it?''
''It's 128,000 yen, please''
Haruka paid for it willingly.
''Thank you. Here is your change.''
''Thanks. It's very surprising that such a young, lovely girl like
you would keep an aged antique shop!'' Haruka said adoringly. =^^=
The girl blushed at the compliment and replied, ''Thanks. Ah … Actually
it's my grandma 's shop. I just help him to keep it."
That's how she got the watch.
Then Haruka came back reality and took the watch out, appreciating it
and mumbled to herself, '' I hope Michiru would love it.''

[6th March - Michiru's birthday]
Michiru moved slightly to the vibration made by something/someone. Then
she felt another movement. '' Hmm…What's that?'' Then she reluctantly
opened her eyes narrowly and found little Hotaru sitting on her bed. ''
What? Why are you here Hotaru?'' Michiru asked, surprised.
''I just try to wake you up.''
''Oh… is it very late already?'' Michiru took a glance at the clock.
' 9:17, it's still early in the morning. Why do you wish to awake me then,
is it for some important purpose?
''Yeah…a surprise. Please go downstairs Michiru mama!'' Hotaru said
with a grin.
Then Michiru went downstairs with widened eyes. She saw that the whole
sitting room was decorated with marine and aqua ribbons. Soft music was
playing in addition. What caught her sight most in the 'Happy Birthday'
banner - It is neither too big nor too colourful, but Michiru could easily
figured out that it was drawn and designed by Haruka + Setsuna + Hotaru
and that made the banner the most appealing one in the world.J
''Happy Birthday, Michiru!!'' They said together. ''Now come here and
make a wish by the candles on the birthday cake!''
''Oh thanks a lot!'' Then she made a silent wish and blew the candles
out.
''Great!'' Haruka said. ''Might your wish come true! And now is the
'prize giving ceremony'!''
Their presents were all very delightful- Setsuna gave her a crystal
ornament while little Hotaru gave her most artistic drawing.
Then it was Haruka's term. ''Michiru, I hope you would like mine. Just
unwrap it and see.'' ''Thank you… Wow…it is wonderful! But…how can I
make it work? ''Michiru said exultantly. At that moment, Haruka just retold
the instruction given by the girl of antique shop.
''Oh I see. Let me try!''
Just when she pulled the ribbon, she abruptly disappeared!!!!!!
Birthday Present PART 2
"! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Where is Michiru?!" Haruka exclaimed.
"What happened? Where is Michiru mama? "Hotaru startled.
"…I guess…" Setsuna said hesitantly.
"It may have something to do with the watch!!" Setsuna & Haruka
said together.
" So let's go and find out if you are right!" Hotaru urged.
"That is the shop," Haruka said. "No doubt!"
" So many antique shops here, why are you so sure this is the right
one?" Setsuna said doubtfully.
"That's simple. I can recognize the pretty shopkeeper well enough,"
said Haruka, shrugging." If Michiru can hear what I say just now, she must
be furious…"
"…Let's go inside and see" Setsuna said with a bitter smile, knowing
that comfort can do nothing to make Haruka feel better.
"Oh! It's you again! So what can I do for you this time?" The
shopkeeper asked cheerfully.
"Tell me honestly, what's wrong with your watch!" Haruka shouted to
her.
"What… what do you mean by that?" The girl said with a stunned look
on her face.
"You know what I mean exactly," Haruka + Setsuna drawled.
"Well, let…let me go and check!" The girl stuttered.
" This store…here I can sense no evil spirit and I am sure that this girl
is also a human being…yeah. So why did the watch have evil power then? Or…
perhaps the watch is not anything evil at all…?" Haruka and Setsuna
thought while the girl is in the room.
2 minutes later, the girl came out and said," I am terribly sorry…I
sold the watch which is badly made to you. However, I had an other good watch in
my store, I can exchange the product for you." The girl said readily.
Setsuna went on to ask the girl," Do you have other watches in the same
style besides the one you are going to show us right now?
"Well yes, but that's also a faulty one so I guess…"
"Never mind, just let us take a look of both the good and faulty
watches." Setsuna cut her short.
"OK then,'' the girl answered simply and went in the room again..
"Here you are," the girl went out with a smile.
Setsuna looked and touched them slowly in addition,carefully…
"!!!!!!!!"
Apparently, Setsuna was startled but she hid her stunned look from the lady
successfully. However, Haruka and Hotaru were capable of noticing it.
Setsuna recovered in half a second and required calmly pointing to the faulty
watch, "You said it was a faulty one, right? So please tell me, what's
wrong with it?

Michiru blinked her eyes. "Where is Haruka? Where is Hotaru and where is
Setsuna?!"
She took a glance at the people passing by and was awfully puzzled. What she saw
was something that she could not see usually.
She noticed that the people were walking backward, so did the trains. Water
flowed from buckets to the tap instead of flowing from the tap to the buckets.
She then went inside a restaurant and sat down. The waiters and waitresses were
busy working but none of them took any notice of the elegant girl. People were
not eating noodles but were pulling noodles out from their mouths instead.
Michiru proceeded to talked to one of them, but they just sat there remain
silent.
"My goodness! Why? What is happening here? What are the people doing? And
Haruka…WHERE ARE YOU?" Michiru thought confused. "No. I must found
out Haruka and the others as soon as possible!" She ran down the street and
began fetching.

The girl in the antique shop replied, "Hmm… I heard Grandma say
that the watch's handles have problems. The one I sold you before has its
handles going in a strange way…"
Still in the antique shop-
Setsuna: How strange?
Girl: The handles go in counter-clockwise direction.
Setsuna (solemnly): That's what I guess.
Girl: What? How would you…
Setsuna (having patience lost): Excuse me, please also tell me what's wrong with
the watch you were just showing me?
Girl (stuttered): The handles can go in either clockwise or counter-clockwise
direction.
Setsuna: I see. I'll take the faulty watch.
Girl (surprised): Why? Do you know…
Setsuna: I can't see how this is any of your business. Will you sell it to me?!
(Coffee + Lemonade: Aaaaa…how could Setsuna be so rude? ^&^)
Girl (having her mouth pouted): Ok then, but I won't exchange the product
anymore, you know!

In Haruka + Michiru + Hotaru + Setsuna' home-
Haruka + Hotaru (enthralled): Why Setsuna! You seem to have some ideas of
where Michiru is!
Setsuna: that's true. (She was nodding her head while speaking)
Haruka (anxiously): Where is she?
Setsuna: Well, Michiru…has her timeline changed.
Haruka + Hotaru (confused): !!!!!! What do you mean, Setsuna?
Setsuna (blinked for a second): let me explain. We all share the same timeline,
that is, we go from the past to present; and from present to future. It is
11:15am, right? So we are all going to 11:16 slowly-second by second. However,
Michiru is going from the present to the past second by second. The time when
she disappeared was 9:35am, so I guess she is now in 7:37am!
Haruka: I see. The reason she disappeared is that she has gone to the past, and
at the same we went to the future. Therefore we could not see each other.
Setsuna: that's the case.
Hotaru: But…Setsuna…will Michiru become younger and younger then?
Haruka (kept wondering how a Chibi Michiru will look like): ……………..^0^
Setsuna: I don't know, it all depends on the stupid watch Michiru wears!"
Haruka + Hotaru: So can you go fetch Michiru and change her timeline back to a
normal one, Setsuna? I think you are the only one who can deal with troublesome
thing like the time.
Setsuna (smiling): I will have…no difficulties in doing that. But first of
all, I'll need a rest.
Then Setsuna went upstairs. Haruka & Hotaru were thinking deeply
about something, something that they did not understand about Setsuna…
In Setsuna' room:
Setsuna was thinking:
~(A big sigh)~ I must go to save her, or Michiru and Haruka will never be able
to meet again. What good am I ?! I am only a 'time guardian' and if I…then
someone will certainly takeover the stuff and make sure everything works out the
way it should… Perhaps they would cry for me for a short period and then
everything will return to normal again…However, Michiru and Haruka are
different, they are deeply in love and they need each other- in fact, they can't
survive without each other! Death means nothing to me and I…
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and distracted Setsuna from her
thought.
"Hello Setsuna! " That's Haruka's voice.
"Yeah, Haruka?" Setsuna answered.
"Err…mind if I come in?"
"No," she sighed and opened the door for Haruka.
"In fact Setsuna, I'm glad that you tried to help…but…well, Setsuna,
you know very well that I'm a selfish fellow and I don't really want to cry for
two ladies at the same time, that will tear me on the inside." Haruka
rattled the words off.
Setsuna (cadaverous): What?
Haruka (look in the girl's green eyes): You know very well what I am talking
about, Setsuna.
Setsuna: God, how did you find out?!
Haruka: That's not important now, is it?
Setsuna (blinked her eyes): But you are only partly correct- Michiru won't die,
I can make sure of it.
Haruka: if you aggravate the problem, who can have confidence in Michi's safety?
"I won't aggravate the problem! Though I shall use up all my power, I WILL
save her!!" Setsuna protested.
Haruka: Why?
Setsuna: ……
Haruka: What will happen when you use up all your power, Setsuna? Go to heaven
happily?! Then, no one will take care of the time stuff. Moreover, the sorrow
feeling will kill us!
Setsuna: ……
Haruka: Setsuna, I am no fool and I know the faulty watch you bought a moment
ago can help saving Michiru. Why don't you use it?
Setsuna: I wish I could!! Time guardians like me can't use something like those
stupid watches 'cause the space and time will be messed up if I do so!
Haruka: What if I use it then?
Setsuna: !!!!!!!!!
[Lemonade + Coffee: Now this story is going to end. Please tell us how you

Setsuna: What???? Haruka, are you crazy?
Haruka: No, definitely not. Michiru will always be there to save me when I am
in trouble, now I guess it is time for me to do the same thing for her. Setsuna,
tell me, how CAN I use the watch to find Michiru? Please?
Setsuna (still hesitating): Hmm……V_V||||
Haruka (unyielding):If you are not telling me, I WILL try it myself!!!!
Setsuna (scared): Ok, I give in, I give in!! Now I am going show you the
method.
First of all, I will "teleport" you to the past and you should pull
the green ribbon so as to have the same time line as Michiru's. After a short
period of time, you will have found Michiru. Ask her to remove her watch and
then you pull the blue ribbon of your watch a little bit and the time line will
change to normal, then you should pull the blue ribbon hard until you can see
the word "PRESENT" on the watch. You will meet me finally, I am
certain. However, you should find Michiru as quick as you can or the watch will
lose some of its power, at that moment, it can no longer carry you two back to
the normal time line!!! (Lemonade +Coffee: this paragraph is …very
boring…^^)
Haruka (winked): you need not worry about me. If you have raced for as long
as I have, you will also know how to do things fast.
Setsuna:……
Then Haruka was teleported to the past soon after the boring conversation.
To Haruka's surprise, she found herself standing in the center of a
zebra crossing.
" That NUT(Setsuna)>_< must have tried to kill me!!!!! When I am back
with Michiru, I must skin her off. Yeh… I must do so…"she mumbled to
herself. "Now I should find out where Michiru is!"
Haruka ran to a cosmetic shop, hoping that she would find her dear but
failed unfortunately; she had ever thought of asking the staff of the shop, yet
she was able to remind herself instantly that she had changed her timeline and
she could no longer talk to people anymore. Therefore, she ran to another place-
a concert hall.
She took a brief glance of all the performers and audiences, still she did not
succeed in finding Michiru! Nevertheless, she could still remain cool at that
moment. Suddenly, a thought flashed into her mind. And she ran to a place so
quickly that she was nearly out of breath. The place was: the seashore. There
stood a beauty. Apparently, she had overwhelming sorrow.
"Oh how I miss you, haruka! And Hotaru, Setsuna! Poor Haruka! She must be
upset with my departure…Provided that I was a woman who was not loved by
anyone and… if I was a girl who was capable of loving the others, I should…
and I would loved staying here…But now I am not! My going will cause
sadness…I will make Haruka and my friends unhappy! And… I could never see
Haruka again…" Michiru's voice was just throaty whisper, and she was
sobbing bitterly too. She checked and caressed her watch," Oh, you (her
watch) are so execrable! But I don't really hate you… Why?…"
"Michiru…"
"!!! Haruka?!"
Michiru could hardly believe what she saw -- Haruka was standing next to her,
looking at her with fervent eyes and holding her!
"I …am not dreaming, am I…?"
"No dear. You've just had a terrible nightmare," Haruka said, hugging
Michiru tightly. "But now it's time for to wake up. Let's go back together!
Be quick!" She grasped Michiru's hand and went back successfully.
"Welcome home!" Setsuna and Hotaru said cheerfully.
"…I…miss you…" Michiru said with tears rolling down her cheek.
"Setsuna" Haruka leered at Setsuna. "Why did you put me in the
center of the zebra crossing? Huh?"
"… I just want to test how fast you can duck…" Setsuna answered
innocently.
"You… I swear… I will SKIN - YOU - OFF!!!!"
"Hey, will you stop now, Haruka…" Michiru yelled slyly. "I have
something to give you."
"What i…" Before she could utter the word, she was kissed by Michiru
passionately. "I want to give you all my love…"Michiru whispered in
her heart.
